The Student Parent HELP Center's mission is to assist low-income, undergraduate students with children by supporting them in meeting and overcoming the specific challenges this group of highly motivated and invested students typically face as they attempt to enter a first degree program. We believe, and research supports, that student parents can significantly increase their earning potential, increase the overall economic stability of their families and improve the academic outcomes for their own children by earning a four year degree. Through accessing higher education student parents can not only positively impact their own academic, career and economic outcomes, but will also establish a solid foundation for the future success of their children. The HELP Center accomplishes this mission by providing a family friendly, centrally located on-campus facility and offering a wide variety of services and activities that encourage both academic and family success.
