Susan Warfield, LICSW
Director, Student Parent HELP Center
Susan has a 20 year career history in the field of social work, most of which has been spent in K-12 and higher education. With a career that encompasses a broad range of experience including: residential treatment work with emotionally disordered children and adolescents, private practice with adult clients and families, corporate outplacement services and school social work within the public, K-12 system, Susan has utilized the many skills she has developed in many capacities during her 6 years at the University of Minnesota. During her tenure at the U of MN Susan has served as an academic advisor for freshmen and sophomores, taught a career planning course, been selected as a participant in the U of MN, Women’s Leadership Institute, and is currently involved in founding the first professional organization for student parent service delivery professionals within higher education. Susan has worked in the Student Parent HELP Center since she began working at the university, and has been directing the HELP Center for the past three years.
